About 2.5 million people in Germany suffer from heart failure. If it is detected early and treated in a targeted manner, the patients’ quality of life and life expectancy can be increased.
Heart failure is best diagnosed using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). HerzCheck enables modern heart failure diagnostics close to home: with the help of mobile MRI units (MRI trailers; state-of-the-art special truck constructions) and telemedical support by physicians with many years of experience.
The HerzCheck examination takes place as part of a project under the medical direction of the German Heart Center Berlin (DHZB) on the topic of innovative heart failure diagnostics and better medical care in Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and is aimed at insured persons of the AOK Nordost.
