Muscle relaxation (e.g., by neuromuscular blockade with rocuronium) is an important component of modern anesthesiology. It significantly improves intubation conditions. It also contributes to the improvement of operative conditions, for example, in abdominal and thoracic surgery. For rapid reversal of neuromuscular blockade, there is Bridion® (Sugammadex).
Bridon® enables (dose-dependent ) very rapid reversal of even deep residual blockades. In addition, the substance has a favorable side effect profile.
The campaign “Operate with foresight, treat with foresight” lets anesthesia (easier intubation, fewer residual blocks, fewer pulmonary secondary complications, shorter time to reversal, better patient outcome) and surgery (reduction of patient movements, good freedom of movement for instruments, easy access to organs, fewer surgical complications) look together at the advantages of modern anesthesia management using Bridion®.
